Enjoy a short return journey from Waipukurau to Takapau or Ōtāne, specially designed with families in mind. Experience the charm of classic rail travel behind heritage diesel-electric locomotive Da 1410, travelling in beautifully restored 1930s-era carriages. Take in the ever-changing Central Hawke's Bay scenery from our popular open-air viewing platform and enjoy a truly nostalgic railway experience for all ages.
