At the recent annual Federation of Rail Societies Conference which was held in Wellington we were delighted to be jointly awarded along with Pounamu Tourism, "The PJ Dillicar Memorial Award for Innovation" for our efforts in establishing the Marlborough Flyer tourist train.

The Marlborough Flyer commenced operation in December 2017 and ran between Picton and Blenheim over the summer months.  The 2018/2019 season is scheduled to commence on 3^rd October 2018.  Steam Incorporated provides and operates the train for the promoter Pounamu Tourism Group who market the journey.

To operate the train, Steam Incorporated bases a steam locomotive and set of carriages in Picton for the October to April running season.
