Ab608 “Passchendaele” at Paekakariki on ANZAC Day 2014. Ab608 will start to appear on selected excursion trains from mid 2014.
A special Mothers Day excursion from Paekakariki to the windfarm capital of Woodville and return via the spectacular Manawatu Gorge. Discover the boutique shops at Shannon during a short stop enroute to Woodville, then either alight at Ashhurst for lunch at the Ashhurst Inn or ride to Woodville to experience travelling through the Manawatu Gorge by rail. Steam hauled.
Departs at 9.10am, arriving back at 5.40pm.
Special return fare only Adult $99, Child $69. Ashhurst Meal $30.

A series short steam train rides between Paraparaumu and Paekakariki. The
round trip will take just 45 minutes.
Departs Paraparaumu at:
Report 10 minutes prior to departure.
Also limited seats available departing from Paekakariki and returning to Paekakariki.
Two coal fired steam locomotives will be used to haul the train. Ja1271 in one direction and Ab608 "Passchendaele" in the other. All trains will be using our fleet of red heritage carriages, many with open end balconies.
Return fares are $20Adult and $10 Child. A special Family fare of $50 (2A & 2C) is also available.
